Preparing the Next Generation of Pianists
Joyful Noise Piano Studio is a privately-owned music studio presently operating out of Charity Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. Our name was chosen to represent our most important values: that we are a Christian studio first and foremost (Psalm 100:1 – “Make a joyful noise to the Lord”), and that we believe music lessons should be a joyful experience!
Our take on piano lessons breaks the mold of traditional classical lessons. In contrast to a one-size-fits-all approach, we believe that each student deserves lessons tailored to their personal interests and goals. For some students, that may mean pursuing classical piano, while others may choose worship piano, pop music, composing, and more. We are here to guide, support, and encourage students in their musical goals so that they can truly enjoy their time playing the piano.
Our goal is to provide quality piano instruction in a way that’s fun and easy to understand while also challenging students to grow in their musical abilities. We aim to equip each student with a fundamental knowledge of music theory and the skills to become independent pianists so that even long after their time with us, they can continue to enjoy making music for years to come.
About the Teacher
My name is Allycia Shepley, the teacher and founder of Joyful Noise Piano Studio. I have been playing piano since 2009 and teaching since 2021. I specialize in classical, worship, and popular music, have experience as a church accompanist, wedding pianist, arranger, and composer, and hold a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music from Liberty University. Music is my passion, and I’m always excited to meet new students who are just as eager to dive into their musical journey.
