Hi! My name is Allycia Shepley, the teacher and founder of Joyful Noise Piano Studio. I have been playing piano since 2009 and teaching since 2021. I specialize in classical, worship, and popular music and have experience as a church accompanist, wedding pianist, arranger, and composer. I have also studied advanced music theory and classical piano at the collegiate level through Liberty University, where I graduated summa cum laude with my bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music.
I love meeting new students and getting to know them over the course of our time together in lessons. Working with all ages, especially kids, is a new adventure every day, which challenges me to grow as a teacher to adapt to each of their individual learning styles. Together, we work through new music, learn fun facts about composers, and share lots of laughs while competing in music theory games!
My goal as a teacher is to equip my students with a lifelong love of music and the skills they need to become independent pianists. My hope for each student is that they continue to appreciate and enjoy music even after our time together comes to an end, and that music might have as big an impact on their lives as it has had on mine.
